Flat belts for most turntables

The belt on a turntable can get worn and start to lose it's grip after a few years of use. The effect of wear is a subtle reduction in dynamics along with subliminal wow / pitch variations. It is recommended by some manufacturers to change turntable belts every year. We would count on around 2 years at 1 hour a day of average use. This estimate can be extended depending on the turntable, as some decks have less belt slip and tension than others.
