The Goldring 1022GX moving magnet mm cartridge is a mid-priced cartridge for the discerning listener. The diamond stylus is a Gyger 1 fine line contact type which provides increased resolution and ensures the maximum accuracy of musical reproduction. The Elite incorporates a Gyger I line contact stylus providing maximum groove information retrieval and an outstandingly smooth and extended response. Optimum damping on both channels is achieved by symmetrically winding the low mass armature.

The four 1000 series Goldring cartridges all share the same strong, one-piece body made from Po can, an ultra-rigid glass-reinforced polyester.All fixed parts can be held securely in place and the body can be tightly bolted to the head shell. The 1000 Series are each endowed with a highly efficient magnetic circuit which makes for a smooth and extended frequency response. As with all Goldring cartridges, the 1000 Series is rigorously tested to ensure optimum standards of performance and reliability.
