“The Reference 150 has a feature list that covers all the essential ingredients required to integrate and MJ into any audio system. The on-board microprocessor provides for extensive management of this feature set. Reference 150 and is simple to use via its digital display confirming all your settings. Due to its small 300mm square cabinet size, Reference 150 can be tucked away into the smallest of areas. 250mm Ultra Long-Throw sub-bass driver, digitally accurate crossovers, multiple inputs, high-level cable, M8 spikes, Reference 150 is amazingly well equipped and ready for the most demanding movies and the most detailed bass lines.

You take this platform and add the ability to make very accurate adjustments so that in multiple subwoofer systems you can properly tune them with repeatable settings that can be stored in non-volatile memory.  You then push the boundaries as far as possible within the financial constraints of affordability and extract the most output possible by tweaking the power available along with enhanced filters and crossover layout.  All this achievable, because the microprocessor within the DAMP circuits monitors system status very carefully to make sure that the purest of output emanates from the cabinet without the slightest hint of distress or distortion in the waveform. It’s quite a marvel to listen to.

Proportionally the PRO 80Mk1 remains the same diminutive size.  The accuracy is provided by the addition of the MJ’s legendary DAMP2nd GEN microprocessor circuits that handle the display, crossover, gain settings, phase, power meter, in addition to all the protection circuits. With the required tweaks in filter design to accommodate the natural roll off characteristic changes in the cone from the increased mass, we established a magnetic structure and Gauss setting for the motor assembly that extracts the very best from this Bass Engine.  Increasing power up to 180watts the efficiency of the motor assembly was honed to perfection releasing its full potential and the results are quite stunning. Legendary High-Level and Line-Level inputs with Twin independent gain settings complete the design.  Once again we set the standard for the most sound for pound you can achieve in a small cabinet.

Having set the scene thus far for new standards in affordable powerful subwoofers.  Unrivalled features unveiled in the PRO 80Mk1 push the boundaries ever further making this model the envy of our competitors. Designed from the ground up this subwoofer has all the essential ingredients. Variable Phase, 180watts of power, new designed 12” driver and all packed into a diminutive 345mm cube. offered to integrate with any speaker from small satellites to high-end floor standers. With bass out put down to 10hz and a -3db rating at 19hz in a room it really is unbelievable value.

The PRO 80 MkI complements the most discerning cinema and music system!  180 watts of Class A/B MOSFET amplifier feeds an ultra long-throw super-rigid 12” sub-bass driver of rugged efficient design and finish. Add to this a beautiful non-reflective satin finish, and attention to the finest and smallest detail. The PRO 80MkI delivers a vast punch and solid slam – without the dreaded overhang – down to a gut-wrenching 10Hz.

Our unique combination of state-of-the-art electronics and tuned hand-built sealed cabinet affords the user the ultimate in sub-bass control. Deep and powerful enough for the most demanding movie soundtrack, yet subtle, agile, fast, and accurate for the highest fidelity in music listening. It really is just like being there! Scary at times in a movie when required but if removed, leaves a system without foundation. Once installed and dialled in you will not want to be without it.” – MJ Acoustics
